Season One Summary:
The Phoenix Initiative is a life rehabilitation program in which five individuals attempt to create a ‘better life’ by participating in one of the world’s toughest apprenticeship program.
Our primary objective is to demonstrate that anyone, regardless of their circumstances and personal history, can make massive changes in their lives and recover from extreme difficulties or setbacks. This is of course, provided that they have the determination and resourcefulness to see such changes through. Change is not easy for most, and far too often, people become stuck in a poor environment and pattern of negative behavior, giving up hope of a better life. We hope to change that thinking on a worldwide scale.
In our program, participants (a.k.a apprentices) will live together in near-total isolation while competing against each other in an effort to create their own million dollar start-up companies. The first year of proceeds from each startup will be donated to charity, but afterwards the businesses will be owned by the participants – thus providing the foundation for “their new lives”. In order to fund the initial program, participants will become ‘Apprentices’ as they work and develop their internet marketing skills on behalf of a client ‘Sponsor’.
